History of Kauljani Union

In 1913, Basail Police Station was formed from Tenal thana in 10 districts. At that time the name of the ten union: (1) Basail, (2) Hablala, (3) Kanchan Pur, (4) Kashil, (5) Kauljani, (6) Fulaki, (7) Doubail, (8) Yadav Pur, (9) Hatibandha, (10) Ghazaria. At the time of establishment of the Sakhipur thana in 1976, Jadavpur, Hatibandha and Gazaria union belonged to the Samkhipur Police Station. In 1983, Doubail went from Basail to Delduar upazila. In 1983, Basail Upazila was established in association with six unions. Among the six unions of Basail upazila, one of the most active union of Kauljani
